Warranty Claims and the use of 'truck wash'
Wednesday, April 02, 2008

Faber Toolboxes are well known for their ability to last in harsh environments far longer than most other toolboxes. The heavy steel construction and durable powdercoat finish enable us to give a long 20 year guarantee on the boxes.
But lately we have come accross the problem of some truck washes causing early rust and corrosion due to high ph levels and salt content.
Sierra Chemicals have forwarded us an email link to a news item on their website regarding this problem. Check out the link below , it is well worth the read.
Unfortunately due to this problem, Faber Toolboxes will not be warranted where corrosion is apparent due to the use of corrosive truck wash. Rust initiating around rivets, along the edge of hinges, in creases or places difficult to rinse completely, are signs of truckwash initiated rust.
At  Faber Toolboxes we recommend customers using pressure washers should use truckwashes designed to protect your vehicle and your Faber toolbox.

Farmfest 2008
Wednesday, July 02, 2008

Well, Farmfest is over for another year. This year has brought some great enquiries and sales to the Faber stand I23. Considering the drought over the past few years it has been a tough place to get a sale, but this year was outstanding. The Jackaroo and Jackaroo II toolboxes were the sought after models and also the ever popular Titans and Mustangs. Geraldine, Ariana and Steve were on site this year and the weather was fantastic. It looked a bit scary for the set up with rain in the region for over a week. But the sun shone and soon dried up the rows with everyone leaving the gumboots in the car.

As always we look forward to Farmfest and can't wait to see you all again next year.

If you missed Farmfest check out the Faber range on the David Evans Group stand at AgShow 2-4th September at the Toowoomba showgrounds. See you there.

Ag Grow Emerald 2008
Monday, August 04, 2008

Well, what a show! AgGrow/QMIX 2008 held at Emerald QLD on 10-12th July was a great success, in fact a record for the Faber Team. Previous shows had helped with many customers returning as they had missed out last year. The girls were on fire this time, Geraldine, Ariana and Robyn had a full display with alot of emphasis on the Offsider/Extreme range. There was alot of interest in the new Hercules V model also. The weather was lovely during the sunny days but come sundown the chill was in the air leaving us ice on the toolboxes for the first two morings, not the type of weather we had expected. Coming from NSW we wanted warm and cosy temperatures but we were told it had only gotten cold since we had arrived. The last day of course was warming up again. Funny that! Overall we always enjoy our trip north for the winter and look forward to seeing everyone next year.

QME 2008
Monday, August 04, 2008

Rain, Rain, Rain. Does it always rain for QME in Mackay? Yes it does. 2006 saw it rain for about a week straight before the show making set up very messy, but this year it held off till the show started on 22nd July. It was cold and miserable and only the adventurous stepped out to see the outdoor exhibits including Faber Toolboxes. Exhibiting with McDonald Murphy again this year, we recieved numerous enquiries with some sales already going ahead since the show. The rain can't stop us, that is what the boxes are designed for. McDonald Murphy has kept most stock on display at QME and welcome you to call out and have a look at their showroon on the Peak Downs Highway. We will see you all again in 2010.
