Troop Carrier

Faber Sheetmetal produced a troop carrier for the movie 'Resistance' shot at Narrabri in 1989. Production started with a 'blitz' chassis and was totally fabricated with an RHS frame and 1.6mm mild steel body which took on the appearance of armourplate using special effects. The unit was powered by a 460HP Ford engine and used 'borrowed' 4WD tractor tyres for effect.

Ute Trays and Bodies

The company specialises in vehicle trays designed by customers to give them operating flexibility in remote areas.

Switchboards

Control cubicles designed specifically for gin operations have been made for a number of Northern NSW cotton gins.

Agricultural Equipment

Special agricultural equipment has been produced including:

• A rapeseed field storage bin with bucket elevators, fabricated from a disused cotton module builder to a local farmers design
• An elevated tractor spray rig, used mainly in the cotton industry
• A cotton stalk puller (tractor tow)
